Join us for an Imagineer inspired workshop and storytime with author Christopher Cheng.

The Imagineer, written by Christopher Cheng and illustrated by Lucia Masciullo, is the story of Penny, a small girl who is fascinated by 'things' and how they work. Penny also loves to invent her own creations.

Drawing inspiration from the book The Imagineer, the workshop will provide participants with a range of crafting and construction supplies from which they can build a contraption of their own imagination. Participants will be encouraged to think, plan, build and problem-solve to build their machine. Inspiration for machines will be on display to get participants thinking.

This workshop is suitable for children and families and will operate under a 'drop-in' style arrangement. Entry to the Questacon precinct and this event will require a ticket. There will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase from the Questacon box office on each night.

A range of 'mystery' objects will also be on display for both the young and young-at-heart to discover and learn more about.

Christopher Cheng will read The Imagineer at select times throughout the event, with the book projected onto TV screens for the audience to see.

Bookplate Cafe will be open with refreshments for purchase throughout the evening.

This event is presented in partnership with Questacon and their Mid-winter Nights event series.
