Join us for Australia's Wild Weird Wonderful Weather inspired activities and meet the book's author, Stephanie Owen Reeder, and illustrator, Tania McCartney.

Australia's Wild Weird Wonderful Weather introduces readers to a wide range of weather in Australia. Bite-sized facts are presented alongside graphic illustrations, and cover everything from what causes certain phenomena to reading weather maps, exploring the climate of the past and preparing for the climate of the future.

Drawing inspiration from the book, various weather inspired activities will be on offer for participants to use their creativity to complete. Participants will also hear about some weird and wonderful weather facts and explore how the book was created.

This workshop is suitable for children and families and will operate under a 'drop-in' style arrangement. Entry to the Questacon precinct and this event will require a ticket. There will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase from the Questacon box office on each night.

Stephanie Owen Reeder and Tania McCartney will be in the Foyer from 6.30pm to 7.30pm to talk about Australia's Wild Weird Wonderful Weather, to share some weird and wonderful weather facts, and to sign copies of their books.

Bookplate Cafe will be open with refreshments for purchase throughout the evening.

This event is presented in partnership with Questacon and their Mid-winter Nights event series.
