The National Library of Australia appreciates and supports the contributions of volunteers.
You will receive acknowledgement of your application within 14 days of receipt. Following this you will be contacted only if your application is successful. Applications are kept on the Volunteer Register for 12-months from date of receipt.
Prior to selection, potential volunteers will meet with the Volunteers Coordinator and be required to complete the following:
- AFP Police Check
- Statutory Declaration.
Privacy Statement:
The personal information which we collect and hold about you will only be used for the purpose of:
- Providing you with information about the Library’s programs, activities and services which may be of interest
- Providing you with a service you have requested.
If we do not collect this information, we will not be able to:
- Provide the information or service you have requested and/or
- Process your Volunteer Application.
We will always offer you the opportunity to opt out of future communications.
We will not disclose your personal information to a third party unless you consent, or we are required or authorised by law to do so.
The Library’s privacy policy explains how you may access or seek correction of your personal information and how we will deal with privacy complaints.
