This Digital Classroom resource aligns to the Australian Curriculum for Year 3 English – Language, Literature and Literacy. This module has been developed using National Library of Australia (NLA) collection material as the basis for an exploration of Australian children’s literature as part of the three strands of the English learning area.
This resource engages students by looking at a wide range of texts showing how to organise writing: the use of verbs, characters, settings and illustrations to create stories. Each theme looks at various types of text and encourages students to use their learned skills to understand and create stories of their own.
