In recognition of National Sorry Day, join illustrator Dub Leffler as he reads our award-winning children’s book, Sorry Day, and discusses the themes and importance of the story.
A descendant of the Bigambul people of south-west Queensland, Leffler began his visual arts career as an animator and has worked as a muralist and art teacher. He has illustrated several children’s books and has collaborated with internationally recognised illustrators such as Colin Thompson, Shaun Tan and Banksy.
His highly emotive illustrations bring to life in vivid colour, the words of author Coral Vass in their collaborative work, Sorry Day, published by NLA Publishing.
The NLA Bookshop have also curated a list of informative titles for you to learn more about the history of indigenous Australians.
