Unbound was the National Library of Australia's online magazine, featuring articles about the Library's latest acquisitions, new research into collection treasures and activity behind the scenes. From natural history to modern dance, from the preservation of medieval manuscripts to Trove, Unbound made use of collection maps, photographs, books, drawings, manuscripts, ephemera and much more to tell Australian stories.
Unbound ran with quarterly issues between December 2016 and September 2019. Though no longer live, issues can be viewed through the Library's web archive.
Unbound's print predecessor, The National Library of Australia Magazine, ran from 1996 to June 2016. Copies are available in state, public, university and community libraries, and internationally at various cultural institutions. You can access archived issues electronically.
