The Get this item option displays in Full View or MARC view screens.
Get this item options assist you to obtain an item, either by borrowing it from your library, from another library or by getting a copy of it from a library or library supplier.
The options are available under four tabs and their associated links:
This tab displays links to digital objects and/or any online information about this item. (These links also appear on the Full view screen). You will not be able to access this tab if there are no online links to this item.
If your account is setup for enhanced requesting to enable users to request interlibrary loans, the following option will display under the Copy tab: Request a copy via your library.
The Request a copy via your library option generates a Copy Request Form populated with the details of the item you want to copy, so that you can place a request for a copy of the item through Interlibrary Loan via your library.
Note: for users that do not have enhanced requesting permission the Copy – Request a copy via Copies Direct option will be displayed. Please contact the Libraries Australia Help Desk in order to activate the enhanced requesting option for your account.

The Request a loan via your library option generates a Loan Request Form populated with the details of the item you want to loan, so that you can place a request for a loan of the item through Interlibrary Loan via your library.

This screen lists ways of obtaining items from online bookshops and suppliers.
Buy - Bookshops that may have this item – view list in Trove
This option will redirect you to the record for the selected item in Trove Discovery Service (trove.nla.gov.au) where you will be able to view a listing of bookshops and other suppliers who may hold this item by navigating to Get this edition and selecting the Buy tab. Using the Back button on your web browser will return you to Libraries Australia.
Buy – Buy via Copies Direct
This option is available for items held at the National Library of Australia and will only display if the item is held at the National Library. Copies Direct is an online service that provides easy and inexpensive access to copies of articles, chapters of books, photographs, pictures, maps, manuscripts, music and sound recordings.
Select the Copies Direct button to go to the order form.
Buy – Buy via Infotrieve
Infotrieve is an integrated solution provider of outsourced research information services to corporations, academic institutions and professionals, supporting scientific, technical and medical research. The company’s services include full-service document delivery.
Check with your library to see if they have an Infotrieve account you can use. For existing Infotrieve customers, click on Infotrieve to go the Infotrieve homepage and logon with your username and password.
If you would like to register with Infotrieve (no cost) please complete their registration form.
Buy – Buy as LADD member via Infotrieve
This option is only available to members who are current registered users of the Libraries Australia Document Delivery service. If you wish to be able to request items from Infotrieve via Libraries Australia Document Delivery, you need to be registered with the same details on both Libraries Australia Document Delivery and Infotrieve’s system.
Click on Infotrieve to go the Infotrieve homepage.
Please contact the Libraries Australia Help Desk in order to request registration with LADD and Infotrieve to be able to request items from Infotrieve using this option.
A simple copy and loan request form is also accessible via the Get this item screen designed specifically for library and interlibrary loan staff. The form is easy to use and does not require the staff member to enter details such as the user barcode and name. The interlibrary loan form for staff is mediated using Libraries Australia Document Delivery. If your library is not a member of Libraries Australia Document Delivery and you have “enhanced requesting - staff loan” turned on, the email form will go to your ILRS email. If your library would like to have access to this simple inter-library loan form for staff they should contact the Libraries Australia Help Desk with the user account details.
